SHOU SUGI BAN ENTRY CONSOLE
The SHOU SUGI BAN ENTRY CONSOLE is an architectural focal point designed to bring raw texture and historical woodworking into contemporary interiors. Meticulously built from premium Douglas Fir, this console table undergoes the traditional Japanese method of Yakisugi (Shou Sugi Ban)—a precision charring process that intensifies the wood's natural grain while creating a rich, deeply tactile black finish.
Beyond its striking visual depth, the carbonized treatment naturally fortifies the timber, enhancing its resistance to wear and moisture. Defined by clean, modern geometry, the console offers a slim, space-efficient footprint ideal for high-end entryways, hallways, and gallery corridors.
Cleaning Instructions: After the third round of charring, the wood is sealed with a protective layer of clear matte polyurethane (PU). To preserve the integrity of the finish, it’s important not to damage the seal while cleaning. Gently clean the surface with a damp cloth, carefully dabbing any areas that need attention. Alternatively, you can use a feather duster for regular upkeep.
