EIK BENCH
The EIK BENCH is a deliberate exercise in structural reduction, celebrating the raw weight and expressive character of natural timber. Built from a solid French white oak beam, the design features a thick, substantial top anchored by heavy block legs positioned wide at each end. Its minimal profile removes excess detailing, allowing the wood's proportion, texture, and inherent strength to define the spatial environment.
Embracing an organic, wabi-sabi philosophy, the Eik Bench intentionally retains natural knots, checking, grain shifts, and environmental cracks. Each piece is dynamically responsive to its surroundings, allowing the wood to settle naturally over time, creating a truly singular object. Designed for versatile placement, the Eik functions beautifully as low-profile entryway seating or can be styled in pairs to create a modular coffee table configuration.
Please note that knots and cracks are left intentionally unfilled and may expand depending on your environment as the thick wood finds its final resting place. If these characteristics are of concern, we do not recommend this piece.
