• The production time for standard products is indicatively estimated between five (5) and eight (8) weeks, unless otherwise specified. Where, due to the complexity, customization or specific nature of the order, longer production times are required, the relevant timelines shall be indicated in the offer document or in the Order Confirmation.

• Serafini shall not be held liable for any delay in delivery arising from causes not attributable to its will or control, whether direct or indirect, including, without limitation: delays, breaches or service disruptions by appointed carriers or freight forwarders; suspension, delays or inefficiencies in customs clearance operations; seizures, inspections or measures imposed by administrative authorities; as well as force majeure events such as natural disasters, exceptional weather events, strikes, civil unrest, armed
  conflicts, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, or any other extraordinary, unforeseeable and unavoidable event.

• In such cases, delivery terms shall be automatically extended for a period equal to the duration of the impediment and its consequences, without the Buyer being entitled to request termination of the contract, price reduction, damages or any other form of compensation, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence by Serafini.
  
  
  INTERNATIONAL BUYERS (OUTSIDE OF U.S.)

• We ship our products internationally, however, the buyer is responsible for all customs duties, local taxes, and additional fees associated with their country's importation protocols. We do not manage customs clearance processes outside of the U.S.

• International buyers are also responsible for arranging their own white-glove delivery services and acquiring warehouse storage if necessary.

• When products are imported into the U.S., they are subject to customs clearance, which may include duties and additional import fees. A customs broker typically contacts the recipient directly to facilitate payment, allowing the shipment to be released and continue to its final destination. This standard process applies to all products manufactured outside of the U.S.

• Please be aware that customs duties, local taxes, and additional fees may apply based on your country's regulations. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer, as Gaia’s Roots LLC has no control over them. For questions regarding potential fees, we are happy to consult with our customs agent for clarity.

• Option 1: Direct Payment
  Your customs broker will contact the recipient directly with a payment link for all customs duties and taxes. Once paid, the items will be released and shipped to their final destination.
  

• Option 2: Handled by Gaia’s Roots (U.S. Customs Only)
  We can manage the U.S. customs process for you, acting as your primary point of contact. We'll provide an estimated landing cost and collect these estimated duties at the time of purchase to ensure a seamless clearance process and prevent delivery delays. Please note that if tariffs increase due to external market fluctuations, the recipient will be responsible for any additional fees required for customs clearance.
  

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS (OUTSIDE OF U.S.)

• We ship our products internationally, however, the buyer is responsible for all customs duties, local taxes, and additional fees associated with their country's importation protocols. We do not manage customs clearance processes outside of the U.S.

• The warranty provided by Serafini is limited exclusively to serious structural defects that significantly affect the safety, stability, or functionality of the product.

• Under no circumstances shall the warranty cover:
  
  - aesthetic, chromatic or veining variations inherent to natural materials;
  - superficial micro-fractures, porosity, mineral inclusions or tonal variations;
  - variations in finish, gloss or texture;
  - differences compared to samples, photographs, or models;
  - adjustments or finishing interventions;
  - non-structural differences between elements made from natural stone slabs.
  
  
• Such characteristics are inherent to the material and to the manufacturing process and shall not be deemed defects or non-conformities.

• Except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, Serafini shall in no event be liable for:
  
  - aesthetic defects or subjective perceptions of the Buyer;
  - damages arising from improper use or incorrect installation;
  - force majeure events;
  - indirect or consequential damages, or loss of profit.
  
  

Made-to-Measure Products

• Products manufactured to the Buyer’s specific request, being customised and non-standardised, shall not be subject to replacement or refund, except in the case of proven serious structural defects duly reported and notified within the time limits set out above.

• As part of our delivery policy, we ask that you inspect all delivered items for damage. Should any damage occur during transportation, please report it within 48 hours of delivery. We request that you follow the protocol below to ensure a smooth claim process:
  

1. Take photos of the damaged goods while they are still in their original packaging or during the unpacking process. Our shipping partners require clear evidence of the damage. Please include close-ups of the damage, a full view of the item showing the damage, and any relevant details.

2. Keep the damaged goods in their original packaging to prevent further damage.

3. Send all photos and observations regarding the exterior and interior packaging conditions and the condition of the goods to info@gaiasroots.shop within the 48-hour time frame.

4. Any defects or non-conformities must be notified in writing within and no later than 2 (two) days from receipt, by means of a communication containing:

- detailed description of the alleged defect;

- appropriate photographic and/or video documentation;

- order and delivery references.

In the absence of such elements, the claim shall be deemed inadmissible.

5. The Buyer undertakes not to use, install or modify any disputed product without prior written authorisation from Serafini.

Serafini reserves the right to inspect the product directly or through appointed third parties and, at its sole discretion, to:

- replace the product, in whole or in part; or
- refund, in whole or in part, the price paid.

• We will use the information provided to file a claim with our shipping partner. Thank you for your cooperation.

• The materials used (including, without limitation: marble, natural stone, onyx, travertine and similar materials) are of natural origin and, as such, are subject to inherent and unavoidable variations in structure, tone, veining, porosity, mineral inclusions, micro-cracks, fillings, cavities and other characteristics deriving from the geological formation of the material.

• The Buyer further acknowledges that significant differences may exist between different portions of the same block or quarry, resulting in possible lack of uniformity between slabs used within the same order and in comparison with samples, images or any preliminary reference.
